Connecting to the yesteryear part 1

Our whole being is made up of countless connections. Our cells, mind and body: all consist of connections that communicate with each other day in and day out. Without that communication, we simply cannot function.

When you feel connected to others, your body produces a so-called happiness hormone. This gives you a good feeling but also reduces stress, anxiety and the risk of depression.

Because I lost my mother at a young age, I have always had to deal with these 3 things and therefore unknowingly sought a connection with my mother in the past. I found a connection with her through an old drawing book of hers. I started making these drawings just like her and it felt like I was drawing with her. Now, several years later, I found the book again. And so I wondered if I could translate these 2D drawings into 3D textiles, so that I can feel my mother's connection in them.

By giving certain drawings a technique and material, I can also place the 'drawings' on a body. This allows you to imitate a physical touch in your clothing and a happiness hormone should be released.
