Atelier project
This was our first design project where we had a lot of creative freedom, so I decided to go big with the overall shape. I approached the process with an open mind, experimenting with different ideas until I landed on a smooth, large shape.
What I love about the white version is that it highlights the shape—it's oversized and a bit awkward, yet soft and smooth.
Afterwards, I reflected on the construction and made adjustments for the coloured version. The original jacket was heavy, and the shoulder pads sagged forward, so I created a harness top to keep them in place. I used the same fabrics but dyed them naturally, testing various combinations. I settled on a mix of beets and lemon for a soft, yet visible colour that complements the shape perfectly.
